Who We Are
VDA LLC is a VA-accredited claims agency based in the St. Louis, Missouri area. We represent veterans, servicemembers, and surviving family members in VA disability claims, AMA appeals, discharge upgrades, military record corrections, and survivor benefits matters — working entirely within the formal VA adjudication system.
We are not a large intake mill. We take cases selectively, work them thoroughly, and represent clients through to a final outcome. Every case receives direct, personal attention — not a rotating door of paralegals or case managers.
VA Accreditation
VA accreditation is granted by the Office of General Counsel of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs to individuals who have demonstrated the knowledge of VA law and procedure necessary to represent claimants before the VA. Accredited agents may prepare and present claims, respond to VA development letters, appear at hearings, and file appeals — the full range of representational activity before the agency.
Accreditation is not a formality. It requires passing a qualifying examination and maintaining ongoing certification. Only VA-accredited attorneys, claims agents, and recognized Veterans Service Organization representatives may accept fees for representing veterans before the VA after an initial denial.
- VA-accredited under 38 C.F.R. § 14.629
- Authorized to prepare, present, and prosecute claims at all levels of the VA adjudication system
- Authorized to charge fees for representation on appealed matters consistent with VA regulations
Our Approach
The VA adjudication system rewards organized, complete submissions that address every element of entitlement directly and explicitly. It does not reward speculation, vague lay statements, or incomplete medical documentation. We build cases the way the system works — not the way claimants wish it worked.
That means an evidence-first philosophy at every stage. Before filing, we identify what is needed and obtain it. We do not submit cases with known gaps and hope the VA fills them in. We write arguments that connect the evidence to the law so the rater can follow the logic of the claim without ambiguity.
This approach takes longer on the front end. It produces better results on the back end — fewer denials, fewer remands, fewer years spent in the appeals cycle.
Where We Work
VDA LLC is based in the St. Louis metropolitan area and maintains the ability to meet with clients locally when circumstances allow. The majority of our representation, however, is conducted remotely — by phone, email, and secure document transfer — which means we can work effectively with veterans and survivors anywhere in the United States.
- St. Louis Metro — Local representation and in-person intake available for clients in the greater St. Louis area, including both Missouri and Illinois sides of the metro.
- Missouri Statewide — Full representation for veterans throughout Missouri, including Kansas City, Springfield, Columbia, Cape Girardeau, and all points between.
- Nationwide — Virtual intake and full remote representation for veterans and survivors in any state. VA claims are federal proceedings with no geographic restriction on representation.
What We Do Not Do
We represent clients before the Department of Veterans Affairs only. We do not practice law, do not provide legal advice in the attorney-client sense, and do not represent clients in federal court proceedings (such as appeals to the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims). If a case requires federal court litigation, we will advise you to seek accredited VA counsel or a veterans law attorney.
We also do not guarantee outcomes. The VA adjudicates claims under its own regulations and the decisions of its adjudicators. We cannot control how the VA evaluates evidence, schedules examinations, or weighs conflicting medical opinions. What we can control is the quality and completeness of what we submit.
